LIBERATION PSYCHOLOGY:
Roots, Memory, & Practice
Trimester I - Roots
Program Overview
Liberation Psychology is a nine-month participatory, interactive immersion designed for practitioners ready to engage healing work that addresses the actual scope of our current polycrises. Western psychotherapy has long operated from a fundamental misrecognition that suffering is primarily located inside the individual, amenable to individual repair. Liberation Psychology names what many practitioners have felt but lacked a framework to address: the clinical hour is too small a container for wounds born in history, carried in lineage, and reproduced by systems.
Trimester I - Roots
We begin by expanding the container of care, tracing how personal distress is intimately shaped by historical, systemic, and intergenerational forces. Together, we deconstruct mainstream diagnostic models to map a broader, decolonial understanding of pain and lineage.
