Sacred Return: Healing the Impacts of Sexual Trauma
A two-day WÄnanga with Atarangi Muru of MÄori Healers
Te Ara Whakaora is a sacred space for restoration. In this two-day, trauma-informed wÄnanga, we invite you to embark on a journey of healing from the impacts of sexual trauma. Guided by Atarangi Muru and following traditional MÄori healing principles, this gathering is designed to hold you in safety as you reconnect with the wisdom of your own body and spirit.
Through gentle RongoÄ practices, storytelling, and guided reflection, we will move beyond traditional talk therapy to release the burdens of the past. Together, we will nurture a returnâto self, to whakapapa, and to an empowered life beyond trauma. This is a journey towards reclaiming your mana, your dignity, and your innate wholeness.

- Survivors: Individuals of all genders seeking a culturally grounded path to healing.
- WhÄnau & allies: Those supporting loved ones on their journey.
- Practitioners & healers: Therapists and professionals seeking to integrate indigenous, trauma-informed approaches into their practice.
- Seekers: Anyone open to exploring consciousness and traditional wisdom to transform their own experience of trauma.
